When can a minor remain on licensed premises?

Restaurants:

Minors are allowed to remain on the premises of a business that holds a Restaurant Cafe Licence. This is between the hours of 7am and 11pm Monday to Saturday; 10am and 11pm Sundays and 12 noon to 11pm on Good Friday and Anzac Day.

For all other licence types (and restaurants outside the hours noted above) a minor can remain on licensed premises if they are:

  • in the company of a responsible adult; or
  • on the premises for the purpose of having a meal; or
  • a resident of the premises; or
  • engaged in a training program or work experience.
